The Behind the Scenes: Design Team

The Design Team is a newly formed group with the Tribe of Indians Band at CHS. Their role is to help with social media posts, media logos, videos, t-shirt designs, and motivational posts. The team was created by Mr. Tyler, Director of the Tribe, for students who wanted to be in the band, but did not want to learn an instrument or did not have the time for starting over at the beginning of learning an instrument. The method has seemed to work out since there are currently four members of the design team, with only one of them being in the band. The members are Dakota Copeland(Designer), Makayla Scott (Photographer), Christiana Blackmon (Designer), and Ethan Smith (Social Media).

The team has been helping me with making our image and logos more updated and appealing to our online supports. They designed our t-shirts for this season and will be crafting our t-shirt designs for this coming up year.”- Mr. Tyler

The team has there own facebook chat, where they all communicate with each other and to Mr. Tyler. The team has seen and heard the big plans that Mr. Tyler has for the group and the band, which excited the team. Tuesday, February 19th, the design team worked on a video that promoted the concert that the band has on Thursday, February 21st. The video reached over 281 viewers on Instagram and over 131 viewers on Facebook. The team will be editing and crafting different versions of the logos for different holidays, such as hearts on Valentines Day and eggs on Easter.

In regard to the big ideas that are coming up for the team, they mention that the team will be traveling with the band in the coming season to get great action pictures, action videos, and will help with the halftime show. The halftime show will be announced to the public in the next coming months after the busy month of March is over.
